ANDREW J. KILPINEN

ATTORNEY

Andrew is a bottom-up problem solver driven to deliver valuable insights and solutions to business clients in a variety of industries.  Prior to joining Allen Stahl + Kilbourne in 2025, Andrew amassed a diverse set of legal and business skills in a variety of roles: beginning with a clerkship on the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware, Andrew’s legal experience includes time with a global restructuring practice; litigation, creditor’s rights, and transactional advising with a premier North Carolina law firm; in-house with a mid-market equipment finance lender, and golf and private club industry specific practice with both a national and regional law firm.

In these roles, Andrew contributed to matters ranging from billion-dollar financial restructurings in bankruptcy court, civil litigation in federal and state court, advising on various corporate transactions and lending deals, to a pro-bono representation of a church in a fraud claim arising from the discovery of a trashcan functioning as a septic tank.

Prior to attending Wake Forest University School of Law―and graduating magna cum laude in 2016―Andrew operated golf courses for industry-leading management companies for eight years.  This experience distinguishes Andrew as a one-of-a-kind asset to golf and private club industry stakeholders, as well as leaders from other industries seeking business-savvy counsel.

Raised in the Indianapolis, IN, Andrew enjoys spending time with his wife, Karolyn, two daughters, Mary Elizabeth and Eloise, and their dog Gracie.  Andrew spends all his remaining free time playing golf and maintaining his lawn.
