ATTORNEY

Brandon is a litigation attorney with experience in the public and private sector. As a Buncombe County Senior Staff Attorney, Brandon advised and represented the County in a wide range of legal matters including land use, permits and inspections, wastewater management, environmental health, public health, taxes, civil rights, contracts, solid waste, emergency services, and more. Prior to working as a county staff attorney, Brandon served as a magistrate judge in Buncombe County, hearing criminal and small claims matters.

Brandon left the public sector in 2023 to focus on litigation. He uses the knowledge he gained in over a decade of public service to help his clients navigate complex systems and legal issues. Brandon is comfortable in all litigation settings and has handled cases in state and federal court at the trial and appellate levels. Brandon’s years advising various local government boards give him a high level of comfort before legislative and quasi-judicial boards as well, such as planning boards and boards of adjustment.

Brandon lives in Asheville, his hometown, with his better-half Morgan and their dog Ed. He enjoys playing hockey, cooking, and spending time exploring the mountains around his hometown.
