Matthew J. GianGrosso
ATTORNEY
Matthew’s practice primarily centers around civil and business litigation. His litigation practice focuses on business disputes, construction disputes, real property disputes, and copyright infringement. He has successfully litigated and resolved multiple cases in his short legal career and is comfortable adapting to novel legal issues or unorthodox circumstances as a case demands. In addition to his litigation work, he also advises musicians in the Asheville area regarding contract negotiation and licensing agreements.
Outside of his casework, Matthew is at the forefront of issues related to the adoption of Generative AI in the legal field. He has given multiple talks on Generative AI’s increasing role in the practice of law, and is a member of the North Carolina State Bar’s Future of Law Committee. He is also actively involved in pro bono work as a volunteer attorney with Pisgah Legal Services and as a member of the Buncombe County Bar’s Pro Bono Committee.
Matthew graduated from Mississippi State University in 2018, magna cum laude, earning his B.A. in Political Science. He graduated with his J.D. from the University of North Carolina School of Law in the spring of 2021. During law school, he was a competing member of the Holderness National Moot Court Team.
Matthew relocated to Asheville during the summer of 2021 to begin his legal career. He quickly fell in love with the area and, outside of work, can be found attending concerts for both major and local artists, trying new restaurants, and hiking the area’s beautiful mountain trails.
