Jesse received his B.A. from Emory University in 2006, and his J.D., with honors, from the University of North Carolina School of Law in 2017. In between, he spent time working in the bicycle industry, which is what brought him to Asheville in 2012.
Since returning to Asheville after law school, Jesse has represented clients across Western North Carolina in a wide variety of civil litigation matters, including professional liability, large and small construction defect cases, contract disputes, employment matters, and governmental immunity, to name a few. He is experienced in every stage of civil litigation, from pre-suit persuasion, to initial pleadings, written discovery, depositions, discovery motions, dispositive motions, mediation, trial, and appeal.
In addition to his litigation work, Jesse has assisted clients with non-profit formation, organization, and 501(c)(3) tax status.
Jesse chooses to call Asheville home because he loves the energy and ingenuity of the local community, and he loves the mountain setting. Outside of work, you can find him mountain biking or hiking on the trails surrounding town, or strolling with his family to a neighborhood coffee shop, bakery, or pizza place.
